THE BIRD IS THE WORD (Mickey Mao) Silver Bust - Frank Kozik (2009) Limited Edition Designer Art Toy
A limited edition silver colorway The Bird is the Word (Mickey Mao) art toy bust produced by Frank Kozik in 2009. The bust incorporates both the iconography of Mao Zedong and Mickey Mouse. Item reportedly had only 50 of this specific colorway produced and appears to have been crafted out of fiberglass.
Bust measures roughly 28" tall and appears to have been previously displayed. The cigarette is removable from the bust.
The bust is in overall great visual shape but does have signs of light to moderate display/storage wear such as scratching and scuffing (particularly on the bottom of the piece, top of the ears, chin, and back of shoulders), paint wear (such as a possible thin paint crack located on the back of the left ear) and general surface abrasions.
